Banner Day Camp is looking for dynamic, energetic interns and students who are eager to help create a positive camp environment and experience for our community. Through a variety of positions, interns will work hands on in our office or outside in our program. Working at Banner is the perfect opportunity for students from a variety of majors while obtaining real life work experiences within a successful small business.

Education Interns have the opportunity to work hands on with children ages three through 12 and lead a variety of activities throughout our camp program. Education Interns are supervised by teachers and school administrators and develop practical techniques for group management, instruction and conflict resolution. This experience is ideal for anyone interested in pursuing a career in education (early childhood, elementary, secondary and special education.)

Banner Day Camp will work with each intern to meet their unique learning objectives while supporting their personal growth within a professional setting. Supervisors offer regular feedback and evaluations that are designed to help interns recognize their strengths while offering areas of improvement leading to success both at camp and in future positions.

Banner staff develop marketable skills that are sought by employers in every industry. Interns have daily opportunities to practice effective communication, critical thinking, equity, leadership and teamwork skills.

*Banner is able to tailor internships, practicums and work study experiences to the direct needs of the student and school. If this particular internship does not fit your needs, please call us to discuss what opportunities may be available.
