Sack Lunch

Campers have the option of bringing a sack lunch to camp. All sack lunches brought from home will be refrigerated upon arrival at camp.

Hot Lunch

Banner’s delicious, child-friendly hot lunch program appeals to the demanding appetites of campers and also provides a terrific convenience for busy camp families. The majority of Banner campers choose to participate in the hot lunch program. Campers who choose hot lunch may also preselect from alternative lunch options. Alternative lunch options include a variety of sandwiches (turkey, peanut butter and jelly, bagel and cream cheese), chips and yogurt, salad bar or baked potato bar. Campers who participate in the hot lunch program also have the option of preselecting to have hot lunch on certain days and cold lunch on other days. All campers are given a choice of milk, water or juice drink with lunch.

Hot Lunch Menu

  • Monday: Hamburger or cheeseburger, baked tater tots, fresh apple slices, sugar snap peas.
  • Tuesday: Baked chicken tenders, mashed potatoes, strawberries, green peppers.
  • Wednesday: Pizza (choice of cheese or sausage), mixed salad, grapes.

(Menu subject to change)

Optional lunches are available. A selection of sandwiches, baked potato bar, garden salad, and bagel and cream cheese served with chips and yogurt.

Snacks

Beverages and snacks are available to all Banner campers throughout the day. This ensures that campers have continuous opportunities to refuel and stay healthy. Water coolers are located throughout the camp to keep campers well hydrated as they enjoy their activities. All campers can visit the snack station daily to enjoy healthy options, such as carrots and celery sticks with ranch dip, yogurt and graham crackers. At the end of the day, campers enjoy a tasty frozen treat with their groups!

Special Dietary Needs and Food Allergies

Banner is very responsive to the individualized dietary needs of our campers. If your camper has specific dietary needs or food allergies, your child’s age level Leadership Team member will work with you throughout camp to develop an individualized food plan. Parents and Leadership Team members will continue to communicate regularly to monitor any dietary needs. Banner will take whatever steps necessary to ensure that campers are safe and comfortable at all times. It is our safety recommendation that camper’s with special dietary needs and severe food allergies bring a sack lunch from home. A small shoe box of safe treats sent from home should also be kept at camp. This assures that campers with specific dietary needs can enjoy a special treat with their group during birthdays and other occasions.
