Banner Quick Facts

Campers may sign up for four week or eight week sessions.

Junior campers may come three or five days per week.

Counselors and staff take part in an intense week-long orientation and ongoing child-centered education throughout the summer.

Banner's camper-to-staff ratio is unsurpassed, with an average of three to four campers per staff member.

The on-site infirmary is staffed with three registered nurses.

Door-to-door transportation is provided by fully accredited, experienced, federally licensed drivers in full-size school buses. Campers are picked up around 9am and dropped off around 4pm.

Indoor air-conditioned facilities and covered pavilions allow camp to continue during inclement weather.

Delicious hot lunches are served in the air-conditioned Banner Dining Hall. Friday cookouts are held under the shady oak trees in the picnic grove. Campers may also bring their own lunches, which are held in refrigerators until lunchtime. Beverages and snacks are provided each day for all campers.

Continual communication keeps parents informed - including online daily updates, phone calls, newsletters home, and "Goal of the Week" certificates.

"What does Banner do if it rains?"
Camp continues rain or shine. Alternate activities and programs will take place in our two activity pavilions, multi-purpose rooms, dining hall, etc. Tweens and older senior campers may travel off the camp grounds.

"What if I want to add camp weeks?"
Please call the camp office to check on availability. We will do our best to accommodate your needs.

"What if my child will be absent from camp?"
Please call either the bus driver or the camp office right away.

"Does my child's sack lunch get refrigerated?"
Yes! Sack lunches (brown bag please) are separated by group and stored in the walk-in refrigerator each day.

"What is the latest time I can pick up my camper from camp?"
Campers can be picked up by 3 p.m. at the latest. If you would like to pick your child up, please notify the camp office by 2 p.m.

"Can my child ride another bus home?"
Yes, please fill out the yellow bus note.

"It's my child's birthday, and I would like to bring special treats for my child's group. How can I do that?"
If you would like to bring treats for your child's birthday, we strongly recommend sending them in your child's backpack or on the bus. Treats without nuts and that don't melt in the hot sun are best (i.e. suckers, hard candy, snack bags, etc.).
