Two Beautiful Private Lakes… Old Fashion Water Fun!

Campers enjoy some good old fashioned water fun on Banner’s two beautiful private lakes. Safety is the primary focus at the lake. Banner’s lake staff is made up of American Red Cross Lifeguard Certified specialty counselors. In addition to earning lifeguard certification, all lake staff members undergo specialized training at Banner. Group counselors also participate in all lake activities with their campers and add an additional layer of supervision. All campers are required to wear life jackets at the lake. Aqua socks or water shoes are also mandatory.

Banner Beginnings and Junior Campers

Banner Beginnings and Junior campers make a splash at the Banner beach and fishing pond. This fantastic lake facility is located right on the Banner grounds. It includes shallow waters and a sandy beach. The adventure begins with a short ride to the beach on the Tadpole Express. Once they arrive, the theme is always fun in the sun. Campers catch fish, wade in the knee-deep water, build sand castles and lounge in the beach chairs. The Banner beach and fishing pond are perfectly sized to provide our youngest campers maximum safety and enjoyment. Lifeguard certified lake specialists, along with trained counselors, provide the highest level of supervision. A morning or afternoon spent at the Banner beach is always a special time to enjoy group bonding and new activities.

Seniors and Tweens

Lake Banner, located a short bus ride away from the Banner grounds, gives Senior and Tween campers an amazing opportunity to splash in the water and play in the sun. Seniors and Tweens paddle away in kayaks, cruise around in paddle boats and surf the waves on boogie boards. In deeper water, campers zoom down an inflatable slide. They can also test their skills on our fantastic Aqua Climbing Wall. Campers can even choose to get launched from “The Blob,” an awesome Aqua Launch that lets them soar through the warm air and splash into the cool water. Campers also enjoy fishing from the nearby docks under the guidance of lakefront specialists. There are always terrific opportunities to make a catch. The lake is full of blue gills, sunfish and bass ready to bite. Lake Banner also includes a beautiful beach perfect for playing in the sand and building sand castles.
