Counselor In Training

Being a CIT involves making a genuine commitment to training, growing and taking on new responsibilities. Many of Banner's CITs become future staff members. Now is the chance to share the best of yourself in everything you do at camp. Banner will place you in a camp group where you will be helping and assisting a counselor. Campers will see you as a role model, and Banner's CITs uphold that reputation throughout the summer.
This program allows you to transition from the role of a camper to a counselor. CITs get to experience what it takes to be a counselor as well as the best parts of being a Banner camper. Campers who have a CIT in their group look up to them and enjoy playing with them.
Get ready to create friends and memories that last a lifetime!

CITs participate in a number of special activities as a peer group. They include, but are not limited to, the following activities:

· Trapeze · Climbing Wall
· Dune Buggies · Softball
· Volleyball · Sand Soccer
· Arts and Crafts · Friday Special Events
· Lake Visits

Every Wednesday, all CITs can experience an adventure-filled day trip along with the Tween campers. CITs also have the choice to stay on the camp grounds to spend the day with their camp group. To participate on the trips, CITs must wear a Banner t-shirt, be respectful and prompt, enjoy the day and have big fun!
