At Banner, it's all about safety first. We strive to be a truly safe place -- physically and emotionally -- where children can take on new challenges and test new skills with confidence.

We believe that safety is a basic camp responsibility. Only when children are protected and secure, can we start thinking about ways to have fun!

The Banner Leadership Team


Helen and Allen Schwartz; Stacy, Paul, Ari, Eli, and Noah Kotelov; Tanya, Brad, and Grace Schwartz.At the heart of this team is the Schwartz family -- Helen and Allen Schwartz, who founded Banner in 1964, and their children, Stacy and Brad.

Allen has been leading the daily festival, Bannerama, for forty years, with more enthusiasm as when it first began.

Today, the Banner Day Camp leadership team includes more than 25 dedicated educators and professionals whose experience at Banner totals more than 400 years. Together, they work to continually refine and enhance the Banner Experience. Based on a commitment to spirited, safe summers, Banner has continued to give children positive life-changing experiences for more than 43 years.

When it comes to new programs, there's just one question -- Will it be good for the kids? If so, let's do it.
